Dinner, or Brunch?

Another few days without sewing a single stitch.  I have been working on some new designs and doing some business stuff.  So, rather than have no new post (which would be boring) I am going to show you what I fixed for dinner last night.  (YUMMY)

I don't know what these are called, but I have dubbed them Quiche Cups.   I glanced at a photo in a magazine at the checkout counter and thought I'd give it a try.   Just take some ham slices, line a muffin tin (spray with Pam first), then I put a spoonful of pesto, some mushrooms, cheese cubes, and filled it up with beaten eggs.  Of course you have to add a little seasoning--then bake at 325 for 20 min. or so until set.  You can put whatever you want in these.  I'm thinking some yellow or orange peppers would be good, too.

Well, that's all for now.  I promise I will get back to some quilty things soon.  Meanwhile, enjoy!

Definately a wonderful 'spin' on quiche! And what a treat for people counting 'carbs'!! Thank you so much for the tip! I especially loved your tip on buying wool garments and dyeing them with kool-aide! I am hooked and can hardly wait to share this with my sis! Have a wonderful week-end! Thanks a bundle!!

Looks like the updated version of my bologna flower from the 70's! Used to make them in custard cups in the microwave. We put the story in our Whimsyland book along with a pic of how similar the finished meat/egg delight looks like our whimsical flower! Just never know where your subconscious pulls inspiration from! Too funny...(yours look much more tasty than my 70's version...pretty sure pesto didn't exist back then!)

Hi Jill. Love your blog and hope to try your recipe. However, I am seeking the fabrics for your Around the Town pattern in APW&Q. I have located a number of the fabrics around the web, but can't figure out what the background fabric is for the large section outside the middle square. Would appreciate you identifying it for me. Yum, they look tasty, and no pastry as well which would cut a lot of calories out and less cholesterol as well.
