I finally got the boxes opened, and found a place on my shelf for a few bolts. It has taken me so long because I just really don't have any more room in my little sewing space.
Fabric bolts are everywhere. Under the cutting table, on top of the cutting table, inside the red cabinet, against the wall, under the design wall, and stacked on top of cupboards. I guess I need to start SELLING!
These extra bolts are for quilt kits being offered in the next American Patchwork magazine. They have re-named that quilt "Around The Town," previously known to my readers as "Blackberry Village."
I haven't got the quilt back from APQ yet, but when it comes, I will show you some pics.
I did a quilt right before Market called "Meadow." I don't think I have shown you before, because it wasn't done until I got to Houston, and I have been so busy ever since. So here is a look at what I made using just the blues and greens from the "Elizabeth's Letters" line.
You can see the letter fabric better in this picture. I love that houndstooth pattern, too. So versatile, and great for applique.
In this photo you will notice a few fabrics that are not in the "Letters" line. As you know, I think it is really hard to use only the fabrics from one line in a project. Adding a little here and there from my cupboard or the quilt shop just helps to add dimension and more interest. I find if you use only one line, the quilt tends to look 'flat.' Not always, but usually. (Plus, I could get bored with just one line!)
So if you can tell me which fabrics are NOT from the Elizabeth's Letter's line, you could win some fat quarters! Make a comment and tell me which ones! I will pick a winner. I'll give you until Friday, 1/14/11 at noon. Ready, set, go!

I love fabric that has words written on it. Is it the dark blue bud fabric that is from a different line?? Very pretty quilt.
I'm thinking it is the dark blue that is in the center of the buds. It just looks "different" to me...that's not a BAD thing, though! :)
Love the quilt!

Beautiful fabrics! I don't think either of the darker blues in the tulip or the darker green in the leaves is from the line; but they all look great together! Beautiful bed topper quilt! Thanks for the chance!
The flower bud fabrics and the darker green in the leaves. Lovely quilt!
I'm pretty sure the blues used for the flower aren't from Elizabeth's Letters, and isn't that green leaf from your Thistledown line?
I don't think either of the blues used in the flower bud or the dark green leaf fabric are from the Elizabeth's Letters line.
Elizabeth's Letters looks wonderful on a shelf!
It is so pretty!
Love it.
First, your fabric looks lovely sitting there on the shelf.. I wish my shelf was stuffed with fabric like that LOL..
The fabric that doesn't belong, is the dark green, and both of the dark blues in the flower bud.
I think it is the darker green and the 2 blues in the flower buds. Love, love, love this line. Perfect for my first Spring quilting project!
Have looked at your fabric line and I think the dark green leaf and the two dark blues are from a different line. Thank you for a chance to win.
Oh my that fabric and pattern is just lovely....that green is out of this world. For some reason I have been drawn to the color green and I am not a green person.
I don't have a clue...I am not very knowledgable in that area...forgive the spelling error.
It is the dk blues for the buds and the dark green leaves. Love all that you do. Cant wait to touch and feel.

I agree that it is the two blues in the bud and the darker green leaf. The cream background in the middle is not from the Elizabeth's Letters line either, or was that a given since you said you used the blues and the greens? ;-)
Beautiful line of fabric. I believe the fabrics that do not go are the blues in the flower, the green leaf and the cream background in the center. It was fun trying to be a detective and figure this one out.
Oh Jill- that is a ton of fabric!! It's a good thing you have a whole room to keep it in. I'm busting in a little closet in my house!
Okay, in the last picture the fabrics NOT from Elizabeth's Letters are the two blues in the tulip flower and the dark green in the leaf. I hope I'm right :)
Definately the dark blue in the middle of the flower and the dark green in the leaf...
Thanks for the chance to win!
I don't think the dark blue or gray blue of the flower buds are in the fabric line nor the green leaf material. But I love the quilt!!
NO clue. But I sure like the quilt!
What a beautiful quilt! I'll say the blue in the flower buds, the dark green in the leaves as well.
Thanks for a chance.
First off..I think that quilt is gorgeous, and I would love to win some fat quarters of that line! My guess is the blues in the buds, the dark green with little daisy flowers used for some of the leaves, and the cream colour for the centre are not part of the Elizabeth Letter's line.
Jill,
I never made to to your house this week! I'm shooting for next, I'll call you though.
Now, onto the fabrics: the 2 blues in the flower, the darker green on the leaf (is that from Thistledown?:) and the white background. Am I right?!
Talk to you soon
I think they are the dark green (part of the leaves) dark blue and dark grey (the flower buds)
I think they are the dark green (part of the leaves) dark blue and dark grey (the flower buds)
I think its just the one fabric - the blue row on the bottom shelf. The second fabric from the left.
This is a beautiful line!
Lovely quilting too.
Love this new line. I can't wait have some in my own stash.
I agree with you - it is hard to make a quilt sparkle if you use only one line. Your color sense is wonderful! I think the blues in the flower bud are not from your new line, but they definitely "belong".
I would say the dark blues in the flower, the large leaf, and the cream background are not in the line. I, too, like taking fabrics from a line and then adding to it with other fabrics -- it makes the quilt my own and unique!
I haven't seen the fabric other than in pictures ( wish I was closer to a quilt shop) but I think it is the blue buds and the dark green of the leaves. Beautiful quilt!!! I have been sewing and quilting for years but am just finding the world of blogs! The pictures are so inspiring!
Love the quilt! I think it is the dark blue in the buds and the dark green in the leaf.
Also I have to tell you I love your basting glue. I bought some in October and use it often.
I have no clue. But I love this pattern. I have to buy it!
I am saying the dark blue center of the bud is different. I really love the quilt and would love to make one. Can't wait until your fabric line is in the stores.
