CLEAN START

I cleaned my sewing room yesterday.  Well actually, I sort of cleaned it.  It wouldn't qualify as really clean in my mom's book because I didn't empty every drawer and shelf, and move all the furniture to wipe the baseboards.  But it is clean in my book.  (My book is the abridged edition.) I generally am happy if I can find the surface of my cutting board.  That does make it easier to cut on.

Look at all that surface area!
Oh, and there is the little blessing dress.

My new baby grand daughter was blessed today.  Emersyn Leigh  looked so beautiful in the same dress all her aunts and grandma were blessed in.

I hope I can get the dress to stay together long enough for all my granddaughters to wear it.

We have had a great Labor Day weekend so far--Starting with a tailgate-at-home Football party and subsequent VICTORY, and then moving on to the beautiful events of today.  Tomorrow we will have to think of something to do to finish it off.  Maybe a drive up in the mountains.  (Of course with some applique to take along.)
Hope you have a great weekend too!

OK! That room looks incredibly spotless compared to my sewing room right now. With only 4 weeks until market, I have had to move my sewing machine to the kitchen table because my sewing room is completly full.
I'm glad I found your blog!
