Just Imagine . . .

I told you about my new table runner in the last post, but I wanted to share a bit more about that.  I made it for a tutorial I was filming.  I got it done just in time!  As usual, I was really scampering at the last minute.

Scampering??  Oh well.

The runner is called Harlequin Roses.  I was able to fussy-cut the roses from the main print to create the flowers on the vine.  A really fun detail.

I wanted to make something using my new templates so I could teach how to use them.  These templates make lots of different blocks, so the design possibilities are endless.

I think it turned out really nice.  I have been wanting a longer runner for my table because it is so large.  The nice thing about this pattern is that you can easily increase or decrease the size by add to the center blocks.

We did the filming, and it took all day.  Whew!  That means you will have an excellent quality tutorial that will make learning these techniques simple.  The class will be available online, but not for a while--they still have to edit, format, publish, etc, etc.

They had the set all dolled up with my fabrics! It was such a fun day.

I bet you are wondering where this tutorial will be....I almost forgot to tell you!  It's on the new site, Imagine With Riley Blake.  This is a great site where you can purchase classes online.  Once you buy a class, you can view it as many times as you like, any time.  There are also some free tutorials that you can view as well.  It is a new site, and so there are not tons of classes yet.  But they are filming and uploading new ones all the time, so that will grow.

I have one other class up on the Imagine site--Meadow Weaver.  Check it out!

We at Riley Blake hope that it will be your go-to site for quilting and sewing instruction!

See you next time--remember to follow along with our Blog Tour!
