I finally have all the strike-offs for the new line:
Beyond the Gate
These fabrics won't be in shops until September, but the buyers are ordering now, so be sure to tell your Local Quilt Shop to get some!
I put all the strike-offs up on my design wall to look at the whole group together. (Strike-offs are small "trial runs" of each design in the group so we can check the colors and engravings.)
I'm very happy with how it is turning out. There are a few small color corrections to be made, but it is looking good.
It's a good thing the people at Henry Glass are so patient with me, because this process can be a bit tedious. I work with the wonderful Karen at Henry Glass, and she deserves a medal for all the help she gives me. Thanks, Karen!
I just love the scroll print in this line. I would like to make curtains with it. (Don't know if I'll actually get that done, but it's a thought.) The tonal print with the keys on it is also a favorite. I know you can't see it here, but if you go to the Henry Glass website you can see the prints a little closer.
Here's a pile of other pieces that were sent before and had to be adjusted. A little bit brighter here. No, that green is too blue. Do you think the outlines are the right color? Etc Etc.
On another note, the other day I went shopping at a couple of quilt shops. When I came home I tossed my purse and bags on the kitchen table. (That's my Summer Slices quilt that I use as a table topper.)
When I came back into the room, I noticed a theme here. Hummm. Apparently I like reds and greens and yellows.
Of course I like lots of different colors, but some fabrics I just HAVE to HAVE.
Know what I mean?

Really liking your new fabrics, I am partial to the red on white scroll and liking the keys a lot too. Will be on the lookout for this come September.
