Another Procrastination Tale

Yesterday I was going to take some of my quilts to a local shop for display, and when I was folding them up I noticed that one of the bindings was not sewn!!

I can't tell you how many times this quilt has been on display, and the binding has never been sewn.  When I first made the quilt I was hurrying to get it ready to take to Market, and I ran out of time.  (How unusual.)  So I just glued the binding in place (with the famous Jillily Studio Appli-Glue) and said to myself,  "I'll stitch that down later."

Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.

Well it is finally, officially, LATER.  So I grabbed a needle and thread and stitched it down.
It didn't take that long at all.  I guess you could say that I finished one quilt yesterday!

On my way home from the shop I saw this.  The sun had settled behind the mountains leaving most everything in the shade.  But that one big fluffy cloud was still catching the light.

Don't you just love clouds?  I could watch them for hours.  Did you ever just lay on your back in the grass watching the clouds on a summer day?  I don't think kids do that any more--it's much too slow paced for this generation.
I think I should teach Cloud Watching Seminars.
Good idea?

I'd take that class--a favorite pastime!

I used to do that. Those clouds coming over the mountains in Colorado are ever-changing. So much drama. I LOVE watching clouds.

Love clouds and I love your Dots...I've fought with a thimble for years and then I got your dots...I'm in heaven. Now I need to try your glue...hmmm, holds binding down.

My DS once gave my DD a cloud for her birthday - he made an oficial looking document with photos. It was fun!

A few comments....
1. Jann & I used to cloud watch all the time in the summer so at least it was passed down to the next generation....i'm not sure my kids know how though, maybe there is an 'app' that could teach them. If not, I am bringing them to your seminar.
2. Your glue is also very helpful when hemming pants. I keep a bottle by my ironing board :)
3. You are a quilting ROCK star!! Can I have your autograph?

For me, it's branches that I can lay back and watch. Maybe because it's usually so overcast here -- the clouds don't have enough neat shapes.
