BOX RISK

I have several projects I am in the middle of, but I need to move on to the more urgent ones.  I need to get cleaned up and organized.  But there is a risk.  Once you put a project in a box and set it in the closet,  the risk of it becoming a permanent UFO increases by an estimated 457%.  At least in my sewing room, if I put a project away, it is easily forgotten.

So I boxed up the little wallhanging. . .

and my catheral windows pillow. . . And several other "in the middle of" projects.  I really hate to do that, but I need the working space.  I think I am hoping that writing about it will remind me to get back to it soon...

Now on to a few new items for Spring Market.  I will be showing you those in the next few days.

Posting about projects certainly keeps me honest about finishing things... it's not easy to procrastinate when the world is watching... *lol*

You are right I am afraid, once it is out of sight.....but maybe it won't be....

I put mine in boxes like that with a big label on the outside that has the name of the quilt on it. Then I put on on a shelf in the line of sight where I see it at least 3-4 times a week. It doesn't insure that I work on it but I can tell you exactly how many PhDs I have right now...only 3! ;) Of course that number doesn't count the ones that are still spread out on my table or hanging on hangers waiting to quilt but still.

I hate doing it,too, but I have to,and it's so nice having everything together neatly in one place and ready to pick up when I'm ready to work on it. I keep them near enough that I see them often, but at least it looks neater!
