It's A Girl!

Well I have a granddaughter!  She was born on July 30, and weighed 6 lbs 11 oz.  And of course, she is beautiful!  She has three cousins, all boys, so she is the first splash of pink around here for a long time.  We had a great weekend with all the family, just enjoying getting to know her...the long slim fingers and toes, all that black hair sticking up, the sweet little mouth...a yawn here, a stretch there.  It's just the best.

It was a delight to see my grandsons again too. They are so funny!  They say the cutest things. Bugs and rocks.  Those are the important things--and swords.  Almost anything can be a sword.

It is useful to check in to your inner child once in a while to recharge your creativity.   Children use it without fear or reservation.  They don't fret about which print will look the best or how many different blocks they are using--or following the design rules.  If we could only be more childlike...

Congrats Jill! She is beautiful and totally looks like a Finley, at least to me!
