Today we are visiting Amy at Ameroonie Designs. She is so creative--you will just love everything you see there!
Leave a comment on my weekly Blog Tour post (on Thursdays) and you will be eligible to win some fabric. Tell me what you think of Amy's awesome post!
This week I wanted to share with you one of the quilts I made with my "ROSES" fabric collection.
This quilt is called "Through The Looking Glass." It is a lap-size, and is made using my template set.
(See previous post.)
I have shown it to you before, but this week, I wanted to remind you that this is the project we are doing in my up-coming retreat. Yes, you could come and make this with me! I will teach you the construction process, and my applique technique, plus LOTS more.
We are calling our event the "Mountain Quilt Retreat." We are going up to a cabin for 4 days to sew and visit and learn and enjoy.
No, not those mountains, but you get the idea. We will be sewing on our BERNINAs, so I guess this picture will do. Doesn't it get you excited to come sew in the mountains????
Yes, these mountains. The beautiful Wasatch Mountains in northern Utah.
We have lots of things planned--I can't wait! We have our wonderful quilt project to work on and a few diversions like a live band coming one night, good home-cooked food, excursions, and extra projects!
My sister Margaret and I will be hosting and teaching. She is an amazing quilter and teacher.
I am telling you all of this because we still have 3 openings. (Can you believe it?)
We would love to have you come join us in Utah's mountains. All of the details are on my website. www.jillilystudio.com Hurry--only 3 spaces left, and the retreat is in 5 weeks!
This week I am in Raleigh, North Carolina for a Quilt Expo. I have a retail booth (at the Raleigh Convention Center) and will be selling and demo-ing and meeting lots of quilters. I am so looking forward to this event because I have never been that far east for a Quilt Show. I hope to meet lots of new quilters and spread the Jillily fun!
If you live near there, please come by and visit me--I would love to see you!

Amy's projects were really pretty. I love the 3-d flower and the wall hanging. She was a busy girl. Her quote was also something to ponder. I was just in Park City for a softball tournament. We spent a lot of time in Kamas. We never went to Herber though there were games played there. It is so beautiful and really a lovely place for a retreat. K- lkw2x6-apq@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteThis was a fun stop--Amy always has such great ideas. Your "Through the Looking Glass Quilt" seems like a classic "Jillily" quilt to me, since it shows how appliqué can really bring so much to an already-pretty pieced quilt.
