Hello quilters! Just a reminder if you haven't seen it yet, my PDQ Club (Free pattern) for June is up on the Henry Glass blog. Hop on over there and leave a comment so you can win some fabric. Even if you don't win, it is fun to have a FREE pattern, right?
This time I thought I should do a quilt pattern, since I haven't done one yet. So far the PDQ Club has had an apron, some boxes, pillows, pincushions, and a bag. So it was for sure time for a quilt!
This one is just a simple baby quilt. Since the design is so basic, it is the fabric selection that really makes this quilt shine. I used pieces from my Beyond the Gate, Meet Me in the Meadow, and Poppy Patio collections in "TALL TALE."
I did hand appliqué, as usual, but to make this project really pdq, you could do raw edge applique and top-stitch 1/8" away from the edge. That would be fun, don't you think? If you do your quilt that way, send me a picture!! I would love to see it.
I actually haven't quite finished Tall Tale yet. You probably noticed that it is not bound, but do not worry, I will get that done right away! Also, I think I will add a tail to my giraffe using some perle cotton. Good idea?
Be sure to visit the HG Blog to download the instructions and leave a comment there. Thanks for stopping by--have a great weekend!
